New UK General Manager for Abbott Diagnostics

Abbott Diagnostics has announced the appointment of Trevor Nichols as General Manager UK & Director Region North. Trevor has been with the company since 1990, having previously held the post of UK Commercial Director. Prior to joining Abbott, he worked as a microbiologist in the National Health Service.

As a result of Trevor’s promotion, Paul Roberts moves from the role of Service Director in the UK to take up the position of UK Commercial Director. He brings a wealth of Abbott experience to this important leadership role.

In addition, Paul Cowell has been promoted to Service Director. Paul has a background in clinical chemistry and joined Abbott Diagnostics in 1987 while working in the Middle East. He moved to the UK in 1994 to manage the customer helpline and was promoted to National Implementation Manager in May 2006.

Dr Katarzyna Czuperska, Divisional Vice President Area Europe, concludes, "These new appointments further add to the depth of management experience in the Abbott Diagnostics UK team, which has been a contributing factor in Abbott’s success over the last few years."
